The technology we are employing utilizes electromagnetic energy (EM) to directly treat Borrelia Burgdoferi - the bacteria which causes Lyme Disease. There is laboratory data (in vitro) to support the use of electromagnetic energy to treat bacteria, but to our knowledge EM has not previously been used in human patients. Recent laboratory data also demonstrates the beneficial effects of electromagnetic treatments in reducing bacterial biofilm.
